    “GULULU” - WELCOME TO OUR COUNTRY - Welcome to Yol?u Country.

    Lirrwi Tourism operates day tours, and multi-day tours, spending time with the Yol?u people of East Arnhem Land, living and working on their traditional homelands. We specialise in bringing people together to share Yol?u culture, connecting Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal people and building understanding between the two cultures.

    The one-day tours are the perfect cultural introduction to Yolngu country, whilst small-group multi-day tours provide participants with the opportunity to stay on a Yol?u Homeland and take part in daily activities. In the Yolngu culture, it’s traditional for men and women to undertake activities separately, and a female specific Woman’s Tour is available for ladies.

    Tours are suitable for all ages and we welcome families with children to share in an “Adventure in Culture”. We offer itineraries for corporate team building, Indigenous education, as well as for sporting and community groups. Experiences and length of stay can be tailored to individual group interests and curricular requirements.

    People who come to Arnhem Land with an open mind and a willingness to respect and learn about our culture will leave feeling different to when they arrive. Many visitors call it a ‘life-changing‘ experience.

    Due to the extensive organisation involved with touring a strict cancellation fee will be applicable to compensate for costs and lost revenue. Once a booking is made the following cancellation fees will apply:

    Greater than or equal to 31 days prior to tour date will not incur any cancellation charges.
    Between 30 days and7 days prior to tour date 25% cancellation fee
    Between 6 days and 2 days prior to tour date 50% cancellation fee
    Within 2 days of tour date 100% cancellation fee
    No refunds can be made if pax fail to join a tour join after departure or leave prior to conclusion

    The above cancellation fees are in addition to fees which may be levied by accommodation house properties travel agents or third party tour and transport operator cancellation fees. Please note: Kangaroo Island airfare is non-refundable. It is necessary to reconfirm tours 48 hours prior to travel – failure to do so may result in the booking being cancelled and fees charged.
