    As a family owned and operated eco- tourism complex we invite you to come and enjoy the beauty of the Australian bush in a relaxed atmosphere of natural surroundings at Mary River Wilderness Retreat & caravan Park. View saltwater and freshwater crocodiles on the Mary River Wildlife Cruise and see many different bird species such as the Great Billed Heron, White Morphed Goshawk, Rufous Owl and the Black Bitterns. Catch the mighty Barramundi from one of our 4.5mtr poly craft self drive hire boats and see many varieties of birds, natural flora and fauna of the area, wallabies, buffalo and crocodiles.
    Mary River Wilderness Retreat & Caravan Park offer two different styles of bungalows to suit your needs. The Pool Bungalows have a queen & single bed; a huge ensuite bathroom, fully tiled floors , cathedral ceilings, wardrobe, fridge, tea and coffee making facilities, ceiling fans and air conditioning. Each have a balcony overlooking the secluded pool exclusive to the Pool Bungalow guests.
    Bush Bungalows have either a queen & single bed or a queen and 3 Single beds en suite bathroom, fridge, tea and coffee making facilities, ceiling fans and air conditioning with decks overlooking natural bushland. We also offer powered and unpowered camping sites nestled between the shady trees or out in the open on our lush green grass, near the banks of the Mary River. All visitors have access to our swimming pool, bar and restaurant, walking tracks and wireless internet.
    Restaurant Open Daily from April to September. Between October to March please contact the Retreat as the Restaurant closes for the wet season.
    Continental Breakfast available for $12 per adult, children between 1-8 pay $1per year of age.

Perfectly positioned among the flora and fauna of our retreat to escape the every day, your safari tent is designed with security and comfort in mind. These nature-infused safari tents do not have ensuite bathrooms but are near to the campground bathroom and shower block.
